ARCHITECTURE
THE MODERN HOME hovers in the landscape of the southward-sloping site The volume of the eight residential units (45 – 326 m²) adapts to the terrain with the utmost sophistication and unfolds over four levels.
The rhythmical sequence of spaces creates a very special atmosphere, whose “flowing feeling” interacts with nature, the garden, the terraces, and the atria to offer the residents a sense of complete calm.
to nature its space. to space its freedom.
Structure and form
The street façade is knowingly reserved, while the building opens up completely to the garden landscape to the south and harmoniously integrates the surrounding nature thanks to its full-height glazing. The pergola embraces the striking building, lending it a certain sense of lightness while skillfully maintaining the balance between weightlessness and solidity. The slats of the pergola provide an elegant and airy protection against the sun and the wind.
Community and privacy
The south-facing structure, which consists of eight residential units, offers each occupant their own private, secluded oasis – whether this is a terrace, a balcony, a private garden, or an exclusive roof terrace. Thanks to the skillful arrangement of the volumes, every resident enjoys a direct view to the south. This refined positioning guarantees not just privacy but also light-flooded spaces, all of which have views into the garden, and an intimate relationship between inside and outside.
The lobby communicates the first sense of being at home. Here, residents can meet spontaneously, enjoy a chat, or simply spend time together. A space, which can be used in many ways and enjoys a splendid view of the artwork created by Manfred Wakolbinger.
Garden of inspiration
THE MODERN HOME is embedded in a sensitively designed, spacious garden landscape with natural areas of greenery, an inviting barbecue pit, and a shady pergola. Interconnected by paving stones that appear to float gently as they wind their way through the private park, these create an inspiring place for coming together.
This is a place where timelessly modern style meets the rich language of natural forms. The living spaces, terraces, views, and garden landscape become one – they merge together into a richly-contrasting home for all four seasons.
Materiality and color
The structured clay plaster façade gives the white external walls an individual touch while also paying homage to traditional artisanship. It forms a protective envelope, from which the generous areas of glazing emerge, seamlessly integrating the surroundings into the internal spaces.
The floors are formed of jointless concrete and parquet laid in parallel strips. In a contemporary interpretation of a timeless technique, the stoves are made individually from rammed clay, creating both a stylish eyecatcher and an excellent heat store. A stylish eye-catcher and excellent heat accumulator at the same time.
The use of matching colors and materials is an essential key element in the conception and design of the visual identity of our spaces. The appropriate balance creates exclusivity and an unmistakable feeling of security.
Open spaces and flowing transitions
Whether garden-, terrace apartment or penthouse: The essence of each home reflects the harmonious merging of living space and the surrounding landscape – the fusion of elegant modern interiors with the richly-varied greenery of the garden.
Thanks to the generous French windows, the almost invisible areas of glazing, and the many terraces, THE MODERN HOME stands for a contemporary, natural living experience, whose quality is unmatched.
